HVN Water Management in Healthcare Estates 2016

Date: 5th May 2016

Location: Crowne Plaza, Marlow, Bucks

What is Water Management in Healthcare Estates?

In 2014 Basildon & Thurrock University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust was fined £350K after two people died after contracting Legionnaires’ disease.

As an estates manager or infection control professional, doeswater hygiene occupy much of your time? To help you tackle the increased level of challenges associated with waterborne diseases control and prevention in healthcare sector, H&V News invites you to a new event on 5 May 2016 - Water Management in Healthcare Estates

Building on the success of Combating Legionella and Water Treatment, H&V News' long established must attend conference, this brand new content-packed event will bring together heads of healthcare estates, engineers, water and facilities specialists, clinical and nursing staff. We will navigate the changing legislation and discuss wider challenges of water management and infectious control to protect patients’ health – from emerging pathogens such as ESKAPE to long-term waterborne bacterial infections such as Legionella and hospital-acquired Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Two-thirds of NHS Trusts forecast a deficit for the end of 2015/16. Participants will debate the effect of cost cutting on compliance, practicalities of controlling the microbial quality of healthcare water, changes in standards and regulation, multidisciplinary cooperation and Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contract management.
