3rd Annual Water Professors' Workshop & Dinner

This workshop and dinner is sponsored by Scottish Water who are using the opportunity to gain input from the research community.
Simon Parsons, Director of Strategic Customer Service Planning at Scottish Water, will lead a 2-hour workshop with his team from 3pm-5pm. Dinner will be from 7pm onwards.
Having joined Scottish Water in 2012 as Chief Scientist, Simon is now Director of Strategic Customer Service Planning, leading teams in regulation, water and waste water services, strategic review, science and innovation.
Prior to joining Scottish Water he spent 17 years working in academia and research, leading the Cranfield Water Science Institute. This invaluable background provides a different perspective to ensure the very best service delivery and highest standards are maintained whilst also protecting Scotland’s previous environment.
Simon has a BSc and PhD in Chemistry from Leicester University, holds a visiting chair at Cranfield and sits on the board of the UK Water Industry Research (UKWIR). He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and was awarded their prestigious Sustainable Water Award in 2014.
The Apex Hotel is situated in the heart of the vibrant Grassmarket area of Edinburgh's Old Town, a World Heritage Site, with stunning views of Edinburgh Castle.
The hotel is conveniently located for A1(M) and M60/A74 links and Edinburgh Waverley railway station.
