Northumbrian Water Innovation Session 2 - Development of Future Innovative Technology

Date: 11th October 2012

Location: Chester-le-Street, County Durham

Time:  2.00pm - 4.30pm (provisional)

INVITATION TO REGISTER INTEREST

Organised on behalf of Northumbrian Water (NWL), session 2 of the ‘NWL Service Delivery Open Innovation Event’ will focus on identifying collaborative opportunities for the development of future technologies, products and services that:

    - prevent (or reduce) interruptions to supply

    - manage network pressure more effectively

    - make network operations safer and more efficient

The aim of this session is for NWL to get feedback from the supply chain and other industry stakeholders that will inform a subsequent open innovation call by NWL for the development of one or more innovative technology, product or service.

The session will start with NWL setting out their challenges and aspirations using internally developed customer focussed service policies and research and technology road maps.  The presentations will then be followed by a “table top” exhibition by key NWL staff giving the opportunity for attendees to:

    - gain clarification around each of the NWL road maps

    - promote their ideas for collaborative projects which would help to fulfil NWL’s objectives

Session 2 is aimed at organisations interested in both:

    - helping NWL to develop and give focus to an open innovation call for the development of one or more innovative technology, product or service

    - responding to the call as part of a project based consortium
