Strengthen Your Success! Young Water Professionals' Development Workshop

Date: 29th October 2019

Location: thestudio, Leeds city centre

The Water Industry Forum are running a series of masterclasses aimed specifically at young professionals working in the water sector.

Strengthen Your Success is the first in this series of development training workshops giving you a unique opportunity to network with your peers within the water industry and learn in a relaxed but informative style:-

As a Young Water Professional looking to improve in your role, wanting to empower people or perform more effectively, individually or in a team, your efforts start with identifying your natural innate talent.

It isn’t until people know what makes them talented and unique that they know how to perform better in their job. Or how to find one that’s a better fit. Plus, to build better relationships and be a better teammate. To also feel like they’re improving every single day.

What will you learn?

Gallup research proves that people succeed when they focus on what they do best. When you identify your talents and develop them into strengths, you will be more productive, perform better, and are more engaged.

Gallup's CliftonStrengths assessment is the first step in helping you identify your talents. The results will give you a way to discuss and develop your unique combination of skills, talents, and knowledge - also known as strengths.

This half day workshop will enable you to focus on your strengths and harness them for immediate application and success.

How it will help you?

A strengths-based approach starts by focusing on what people do well. It emphasizes and builds on those strengths to help the team become more effective individually and collectively. When a person takes a team member’s top themes into consideration, he or she will see that person from a fuller, richer and more complete perspective.

  • 6 x as likely to be engaged at work
  • 7.8% more productive in their role
  • 3 x as likely to have an excellent quality of life
  • 6 x as likely to do what they do best every day

Pre-work Required

You will be asked to complete "CliftonStrengths 34 Assessment" and some further work on the results in advance of discussion in the workshop. To enable this we will be sharing your contact details with the training provider, Inspirit Learning, who will send you all of the information required for you to complete the pre-work.
