WFD: What are the Business Opportunities?

Date: 25th March 2010

Location: FERA, York

The lead organisation is SCI, with representatives from WIF, FERA and CIWEM also on the committee.  The conference is focused on business opportunities around achieving compliance with the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD).  The challenges will be discussed first, including an overview of the regulations; the Humber River Basin Management Plan and some of the challenges that still need to be addressed. Opportunities for business, including instrumentation and contamination control will be presented in the afternoon. Two panel sessions will provide time to explore issues raised in the preceding presentations.

This event will be of interest to anyone working in businesses, who is involved in the use or management of water resources, and to researchers working on measurement and control of water contamination.
