Learning From the Innovators - From Original Idea to Commercial Success | WIF Seminar & Workshop

Date: January 2021

Location: COSLA Conference Centre, Edinburgh

Time: 11:00-16:00

IMPORTANT UPDATE (Monday 22 June 2020): Please note that, due to the ongoing uncertainties and potential disruption to travel and events caused by the coronavirus situation in the UK, this event has been postponed from 24 September and will be rescheduled to take place in January 2021. This page will be updated as more information becomes available.

This free event aims to share the learning of how to successfully turn an innovative idea for a new water industry product or service into a commercial success.

In the morning session we will hear from a range of successful innovators who will share their experiences of bringing a new idea from the first stages of development through to the commercial market.

After lunch we will hear from different users of innovation who will discuss their experiences of identifying, adopting and embedding new innovative products or services.

This will be followed by presentations from existing innovation support services and a workshop session which will ask "How could support for innovation be improved?". A vote for the top 5 improvements will then form the basis for a Q&A session to discuss how current innovation support services could tackle these requirements.

There will also be an opportunity for 1-2-1 sessions with the speakers from 4pm. Appointments will be bookable on the day.
