Part Time WIF Project Manager required

Location             Huddersfield

Hours                 Part time - 3 days (21 hours) per week

Salary                 £15k - £20k pa for 21 hours (depending on experience)

An experienced project manager is required to join a small team which provides a business networking service for suppliers of water and waste water products and services based in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

With more than 100 member organisations, the Water Industry Forum provides a vibrant business network for the identification of new business and the transfer of product, process and regulatory information.  The Water Industry Forum also helps companies in the water and waste water sector find the support they need for exporting to new markets, developing new products and finding new contract opportunities.  The Forum is funded by the Regional Development Agency.

Reporting to the Director, the project manager will undertake projects that help to grow and improve the competitiveness of regional companies in the water industry supply chain.  With a focus on the development, implementation and delivery of new member services, the role will also include undertaking research into target markets & member needs; the building of strong private, public and academic sector partnerships; developing, managing and facilitating events; the planning and execution of marketing activity

The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level or equivalent, have a proven track record of project delivery (especially new products or services) and a good knowledge understanding of how the water industry functions.  They will also be able to demonstrate their capability in many of the following areas:

  • specifying, developing and managing websites

  • specifying and commissioning/undertaking market research

  • event management

  • specifying, developing and managing third party contracts

  • project delivery in commercial/customer-focused environments

  • influencing and working effectively with a variety of stakeholders

  • facilitation and business improvement.
